Movie Analysis A Good Man And Barn Burning

Violence is referenced as an act of deliberate physical damage to an object or individual. In â€Å"A Good Man is Hard to find†, â€Å"Sweat†, and â€Å"Barn Burning†, violence appears to be seen upon each passage. The phenomenon of violence is both upon individuals and objects in the stories. In â€Å"A Good Man is Hard to find†, a recently fled murderer kills the innocent lives of a family due to the grandmothers turbulent personality. In â€Å"Sweat†, an abusive husband gets bitten by a snake he purposely placed in his house. In â€Å"Barn Burning†, the father of a poor family burns down a wealthy man’s barn to represent justice toward his class. â€Å"A Good Man is Hard to Find † is a short story describing a disastrous family road trip to Florida. Along with them is the grandmother, who intends to always dressing well, but not always intends on acting well. She never puts forth effort in sealing her mouth shut from every si ngle thought. Toward the end of the story, after causing a wreck in a stranded location, the grandmother announces, â€Å"’You’re the Misfit!’ She said. ‘I recognized you at once!’†(O’Connor 433). The startling information the grandmother pronounces arises the agonizing pain the family is going to experience. With no intention of scurrying, the Misfit orders his minion to escort one family member at a time into the woods because â€Å"’ the boys want to ask you something†Ã¢â‚¬â„¢ (O’Connor 434).
